Transformer Birthday Party Idea

Transformer Birthday Party Idea

We choose to have a Transformer Birthday Party Idea themed party which turned into a sleepover for some of the kids. The best party about this transformer birthday party idea was the cost – about $50.!

First the invitations – For the transformer birthday party idea, the invitations were shaped like the autobot symbol. We jotted down our guest list and put the kids into teams, Autobots and Decepticons. Then the invitation read this; “You have been choosen for a battle. Report at Time XXX at Date XXX at Location XXX. If you humans choose to accept this mission you are to report to (Megatron or Optimus)XXX-XXX-XXXX (phone number) .

Party – With each invitation, we gave each kid a character and a sheet that gave different personality trait of every character along with the invitation. For the decorations, we setup mini-stations. We used crafts to decorate your own transformer calendars, door-knokers, book marks, face-painting, remote control battling robots.  One station  had take home gifts like chuckie cheese tokens, small toys, masks, glow sticks, candy. Another station had different game tools like immunity cards walkie talkies.

Now for this transformer birthday party idea, I covered each station with red or purple tablecloths  printing out signs for each. I took streamers, hung them around the ceiling. Between the streamers we tied a rope with  lots of ballons. Our main color scheme was, of course,  purple, red and silver. We bought the transformer Birthday banner and the metalic door curtains. To set a great mood we replaced the lights with purple and red bulbs and played the movie soundtrack during the party.

Next, for this transformer birthday party idea, we took sets of empty boxes, put them together and painted them to look like cars, trucks and transformers. This part was a lot of fun. I also printed posters and when each guest came in I had them sign the poster with their party alias. For  party favors we created a Top Secret”  folder of cool printouts for each guest. Inside were agenda activity sheets, a puzzle, a picture of their transformer, and a papercraft.  Each guest recieved their folder as they walked. This  gave them time to look over their “Mission Details”. The first group activity was an ice breaker.

The kids  got up one by one and gave clues about which character they were.  Once everyones character was determined they separated into teams and we began the games. The reward for each game was a station was openend up. We set up a variety of games including Autobot vs Decepticon Tug of war,  Energontag(OUT) BEE-Out, Three legged Race Balloon relays(we did a chest to chest race with the baloon between them back to back, elbow to elbow and had fun with the variations).  Memory Bingo Hide N seek )Toy box scavenger hunt was the most popular and we dumped out all the toy boxes and the teams had to find everything on their list.  A build relay(the teams made 3 groups one group took down the boxes blindfolded the next group ran backwards to the build team and the build team put it back together. After one piece is brought the group switch places. The first team to put it back together right won.)

We also let the kids color pictures and paste strips of streamer on the side and bottom of a cereal box we filled it with candy to create our own cereal box pinatas then they got to burst them and collect the candy from them. We had a dance off and a bop-it playoff. We also let the kids recreate their own transformer video and while they ate they enjoyed watching themselves. For cake we made cupcakes and put them in the shape of the teams logos. We made pizza, wings, chips, sugar cookies, and subs for food and had two bowls of koolaid (cherry and grape). We ended the party with a circle where we sat down and created our own ending to the Transformer movie. Then for this transformer birthday party idea,  we took a jewlrey box we called the energon cube and passed it around the circle and everyone added there part to the story. For the sleepover guest we had a movie marathon and called it a night.   I got my printouts from: Hasbro.com.

Thanks for reading about my transformer birthday party idea.

Transformers party

This is very timely timely idea as the latest Transformers movie has recently hit the theaters. Here’s some kids birthday ideas for a Transformer party. This theme is so popular you could go on the internet, download Decepticon and Autobot logo’s and enlargend them on a poster board and hang them up around the party. What a great way to set the mood for a kids transformers party. There are also some great lego sets for transformers. Get a couple of those as party favors. This kids party idea will work for either boys or girls.

Kids Birthday Ideas #8

Disco 70′s party

This kids birthday party idea is for a little older crowd. Maybe for tweens birthday party or teens girls birthday party and particularly girls. It works best when Mom or Dad remember the 70′s and disco fever (LOL). Anyway decorate with the loudest colors you can find and if you have a disco ball GREAT. This kids birthday party idea needs to be overdone to make it work so go nuts with the decorations, music and dress up yourself. Make sure you get some Bee Gee and Gloria Gaynor records (CD, mp3′s) well you get the idea.

Kids Birthday Ideas #7

American Idol Party

This is a kids birthday party idea that ‘s great fun. Start by sending a invitation on a CD. Record the invitation & mail it to the guests a few months in advance. That way they have time to practice. Make sure to include some wording about shy guests don’t have to participate. Next work on putting your “music soundstage” together. You’ll need some judges remarks – make sure they’re positive!! You’ll also need a way to record the acts and a cheering crowd. This kids birthday party idea can work so well, the kids will talk about it long after the party is over!!

Birthday Party Idea – 18 Year Old Birthday Party Idea

Some birthdays are milestones in a young person’s life. Obviously reaching 10 or 13 or 16 or 20 are important achievements. But what about reaching 18?

Candles spell out the traditional English birt...

Happy Birthday

In many ways reaching 18 means reaching adulthood. It signifies a true beginning to being a grown-up. So it would seem that a party to honor such an occasion should be fun, yet not seem too childish. Here are a few 18th birthday party ideas that you might consider.

One idea is to perhaps coincide the party with going to college. The birthday celebrant is probably starting college soon, and so a college theme for the birthday might be nice. Perhaps a visit to the college and a celebration at a nearby restaurant would be pleasant. Or maybe have the party at home with a frat/sorority theme and for food feature “mystery meat“.

An easier party to have at home can center around food. An all-pizza party would be great. With a build-it -yourself dessert bar with ice cream and all the fixings.

But perhaps your 18-year-old-to-be would find the above idea too childish, which it sort of is. So another idea is to take the teen and friends to a theme park for the day. Give them tickets and let them spend the whole day there, then come back to your house for the pizza or ice cream or whatever.

Another idea for a party is to hire a DJ and have music. The party can be at home or perhaps at a rec center rented for the day. You will have to find the right kind of DJ who has the best music though, and equipment. Another musical idea is to have each invited teen bring a CD they enjoy, and just play those at the party.

One more idea I’ll share is a boat ride party. Boats can be chartered for a day for fishing or sailing or just sightseeing. Of course this only works if the teen was born during a warmer month. If it is too cold for boating then perhaps a paintball party would be fun to have indoors.

I hope some of these 18th birthday party ideas sound good to you. What’s probably most important is to choose an activity that the teen and friends will really enjoy and have the most fun, making the party one to remember (at least until the next one)!

Kids Birthday Party Idea – A Pirate Party!

Here’s a kids birthday party idea – a pirate party!

Shiver me timbers! Ahoy ye hearties and avast thy chase for a booty of pirate party ideas are right here on this site which marks the X. For all sea dog pirates who are searching for party idea treasures for their young swashbuckler, look no further. For here lies the Pirate Party Ideas shared by parents from around the world!

Are you ready to transform your home into a family fun Caribbean port and your backyard into a pirate ship? Pirate parties only come once in a lifetime and you want to make it one that your little pirate will remember forever.

All the ideas you need for a perfect pirate party are divided into sections for invitations, decorations, activities, games, costumes, favors, party snacks and cake. Read through the ideas and use the ones that work for you!

Pirate party invitations can be a treasure map, a treasure chest, or a Jolly Roger flag with a scull and crossbones. Just be sure to make them really special by using a fancy font, or calligraphy. Be sure to give the start time, end time, date and location of your pirate adventure.

Set the mood for your party with great decoration s like a Jolly Roger flag flying on a ship’s mast, some some old wooden signs pointing to the Caribbean or a banner over the drive saying “landlubber beware”. Cover the party table in black or red and accent with streamers, balloons and confetti.  If your really ambitious you can create a pirate ship out of some large appliance boxes for a special play area just for the party.

Sometimes the memories are even more special when guests get to take home the artwork that they’ve created themselves at the party. Whether they make treasure maps or decorate treasure chests, it will be something special that helps them remember and share their event with others.

What pirate party is complete without some pirate games like a treasure hunt? Games like walk the plank, pin the eye-patch on the pirate, or a cannonball toss, add excitement to the party and provide a time for everyone to interact.

A pirate party just isn’t the same without all the pirates dressed in their buccaneer outfits. Being shipwrecked and marooned at the party really requires the right outfit and the magic of pirate costumes makes the party special.

Don’t forget snacks and drinks for all of your buccanee r guests.  Certainly snacks and drinks that prevent scurvy are always top of the list, but sometimes it’s best to incorporate some healthy vegetable snacks while providing a pirate dip.

Although any pirate cake will do, a pirate’s ship cake is popular with those who like to bake. For those who prefer a simple and less complicated treat, individual cupcakes and ice cream in individual cupcake liners can reduce the mess of serving princess treats under pressure.

Party favors are loved by everyone and say thank you for coming. In fact, adding a thank you to every favor bag, or sending a thank you out after a party is always polite and appreciated gesture.

Tween Birthday Party Ideas

Tween Birthday Party Ideas

Still trying the same party ideas for your kids? How about the “tween” in the family? For the next birthday, make the party most memorable for your 12-year-old. These party ideas will set you apart as the coolest mom and dad in the block.

Party Uppers

Children ages 9 to 12 are at an awkward age, but give them a fun party and they’ll lap it up. Since they are not official teenagers and no longer the little ones, giving them a party they can enjoy can tax your imagination and stamina. These tween party ideas will give your tween star status in the neighborhood.

Let the tween in you help you along these party ideas. If you’ve decided to host a Safari Sleepover, schedule it on a Friday night. The timing is right. The kids can catch some extra zzzs after a night of fun. But be sure to announce that the pick-up time for the kids is at 10 the following day.

An outdoor sleepover is a good idea, but for the kids’ safety, have the tents installed indoors. Put up a hotdog and harshmallow grill, but don’t forget to add a salad and animal-shaped sandwiches. Fill GI canteens with juice and distribute them among the guests. Let them whoop it up in the lawn – dancing and organized games – until you announce that it’s bedtime. Girls should be separated from boys if it’s a mixed party.

A tween party idea young girls enjoy is the “pajama dress-up” party. The girls can bring along their blings. Let them have a go at putting up makeup and do other girly things they all want to do – fix their hair, paint their nail with fun colors, and do a pajama fashion show. Of course, expect the girls to stay up late watching videos, swapping ghost stories, and doing just about anything. Girls are wont to do that when they are together.

If your tween loves to rock, she or he will be inviting like-minded friends. Host a rock party they won’t forget. A ’70s disco-themed party is a novel experience for the young ones. Clear the living room, install a disco globe, and get dance music they’ll rock to. To make it more authentic, hire a neighborhood DJ who can do the spinning. Be sure to keep a bottomless supply of the kids’ favorite eats, drinks, and munchies.

A beach party theme is also a welcome idea, whether you have a pool or not. Decorate the party venue with shell wired garlands, paper balls, mock palm trees, and surfboards. Prepare more than a dozen rubber slippers. Use colorful fish platters to serve your beach fare. Ask the guests to come in their favorite beach bum attire. If you have a pool, make sure that a lifeguard is around to watch over the kids.

Before the Party

Schedule the party on a weekend before the actual birthday. Get invitations to go with the party theme. A pillow invitation for a sleep over, a papier mache conch shell for the beach party, and a map invitation for the safari or treasure hunt party. Shop for party favors and ask your tween for the type of music he or she wants for the party. To make your shopping a convenient jaunt, have your money organized in one of those money clip wallets, and bring along the list of things you must buy for the party.

Call up the parents and ask for any restrictions on movies to watch and any food allergies to avoid potential problems. To help you out, ask the neighbors’ tweens to come over. They’ll enjoy the party too. If you have smaller kids, let them have a guest or two so they won’t feel left out of the fun.

Make your party planning more convenient by keeping cash in a magnetic money clip and storing your party favor suppliers’ contact cards in personalized business card holders. Don’t forget to give away unique gift baskets as tokens.

Tween Birthday Party Idea

Tween birthday parties are tough. Here’s a rainforest sleepover tween birthday party idea.

In my husband’s words, This party was perfect.”  It was simple inexpensive and the girls (and the birthday girl’s 10-year-old brother) LOVED it.  Since I limited it to 5 invitees I was able to invite only the girls I knew would be easy and indeed they were easy-to-please polite friendly with each other and helpful. Another Tween Birthday Party Idea.

This was the smallest sleepover we’ve had and I will never go back to bigger numbers too many personalities and too little sleep can lead to grumpiness the next morning.

INVITATION   – My husband is the invitation wizard in our family.  He found a picture of a toucan that he used as a background for a post-card sized invitation that read We hope you 2-can come to Linda’s party! with the times (party was to start at 6 and end at 10 the next morning) and a request that each girl bring a wrapped white-elephant gift for a game.

DECORATIONS  - We usually put more efforts into activities than decorations but other people could get really creative here.  We just put out some faux vines and hung or placed various stuffed rainforest animals around the house. As usual people very loosely adhered to the posted hours. Due to some families leaving on vacation and others’ work schedules the first guest arrived at noon another at 1 and the rest between 6 and 7.  The girls who were here early set up activities and decorations and it was really helpful for us and fun for them.

GAMES and ACTIVITIES –   For this “rainforest” theme we started with pineapple pizza and tropical fruit salad with pineapple mango papaya banana kiwi and coconut.  Starting with the meal makes the varying times people arrive less stressful for both guests and hosts.    Then they did a toucan pinata while it was still daylight.

Next they played a giant board game we set up. The kids were the game pieces and the early arrivers had made up a game board in the sunroom and living room using 12×18 construction paper ”spaces.”  Each space had something written on it like “$500″ “Pursued by a panther advance 2″ or “Hit in the head with a coconut pay $100.” We made a giant 14x14x14 cardboard die (out of the pinata box!) which they loved tossing to roll. It was really fun probably the highlight activity. Then they used the money they earned in the game to bid on and buy white-elephant gifts from each other (requested in the invitation). There was the only snaffu – one girl was very generous and put like 6 items in her white elephant give-away but she only got one item in return.

Further I think she was disappointed that the girl who got her 6 items didn’t act excited enough to receive them.  The giver was appeased by me supplementing with a small bottle of perfume and some scented lotion that I had on hand.  If I was to do it again I’d screen the girls’ gifts as they arrived to make sure they all were somewhat equal in value supplementing as needed. Another game we used at a different party that would have worked for this one is coconut bowling where we set up 10 plastic bottles of fruit juice (pineapple kiwi-strawberry etc) and the kids bowled with a couple of coconuts.

The prize for this game was to choose one of the juice bottles to drink. Next was volcano cake (more on that later) and ice cream. After the birthday songand cake the birthday girl opened her presents.    From there they played the only non-thematic game a nail polish game where they numbered 10 bottles of nail polish and used a “Life” spinner to land on a number then they had to paint one nail that color. Oh they loved that one and everyone left with wacky nails which girls this age love.    By then it was time for the movie so everyone got in their bedclothes and they all bedded down to watch “Planet of the Apes.” One girl fell asleep but the rest really got into it.

Then it was root beer float time then time for the second movie Jumanji (hence the human board game earlier). Movies were over by 2 everyone was asleep by 3.   During and after a breakfast of fried bananas with strawberry syrup and leftover pizza each girl painted 2 unfinished wood lizards (www.orientaltrading.com) (the kind that have the slits cut in the sides of the wood so they can bend from side-to-side) and then it was time to roll up their sleeping bags and get ready for pickup. They played outside as their parents came and everyone left tired but happy.

PARTY SNACKS – The kids snacked on their pinata candy leftover pineapple pizza and fruit salad throughout the night and next morning.

CAKE   – I used 3 graduated Pyrex bowls to bake a chocolate cake then stacked the layers with a 2-inch hole cut in each center. I frosted between layers and outside with chocolate frosting then filled the hole with cherry pie filling letting the “lava” flow down the sides.  With the candles at the top of the volcano the girls were pretty impressed.

FAVORS  - The girls got to take home their painted lizards and their white elephant gifts.  This was the least expense we’ve ever put into favors but the girls were thrilled. ”
